True West Paints

History & Mission

True West Paints is located four miles west of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada on 160 acres of pasture. We are located within twenty minutes of a major airport with good connections to Calgary, Toronto, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Denver.

Our farm currently stands one stallion and runs a small broodmare band. Twenty years ago, it started out as (and has remained) a small family run business. Our interests, as well as our clients' lie in a variety of equine disciplines and because of this we maintain a mix of horses that carry the bloodlines of several disciplines. Recently, we have shifted to showing and producing horses more specific to hunter/jumper disciplines and have added warm blood and thoroughbred horses to our breeding lines.

We have had successes in producing show ring winners, but we are equally proud of the progeny that trail ride, and take the kids safely to 4H and Pony Club.

Mission Statement

Our Goal at True West Paints is to produce horses that are athletic and willing mounts for all kinds of riders and disciplines. Through generations of selective breeding, we have carefully selected family lines that consistently produce horses that have sound conformation, good dispostions, and are from genetic lines that produce superior performers in a variety of events. For those horses born with a little chrome, we hope that their unique colour will set them apart even more.
